This simply means being more conscious of how you feel after you eat. Whether you keep a food journal or not, commit to listen more to your body this week. Pay attention to how you feel during the first few hours after you eat something. Pay attention to your energy level, your mood, your clarity of thinking, and especially just how good (or not good) you feel overall. This week we challenge you to listen more to your body and give it more of the food that it really wants. Here’s your quick tip of the week to help you bring out your healthiest self: Keep It Simple Look for simple ingredients on food labels when choosing what to buy this week. By “simple” we mean: ingredients that you understand without having to reference an online dictionary ingredients that you can pronounce (and a first grader can too) ingredients that make you feel good knowing you’re making a healthy choice (listen to your inner voice) Some simple examples: oats, vanilla bean, quinoa, chia seeds, sea salt, pecans, cinnamon Some not-so-simple examples: sucralose, inulin, erythritol, vegetable glycerin, fractionated palm kernel oil, maltitol syrup, BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) Let’s keep it simple and make it a great week together…a week where you take your health, fitness, and energy to the next level.
