Here’s your quick tip of the week to help you bring out your healthiest self:
Keep It Simple
Look for simple ingredients on food labels when choosing what to buy this week. By “simple” we mean:
- ingredients that you understand without having to reference an online dictionary
- ingredients that you can pronounce (and a first grader can too)
- ingredients that make you feel good knowing you’re making a healthy choice (listen to your inner voice)
Some simple examples: oats, vanilla bean, quinoa, chia seeds, sea salt, pecans, cinnamon
Some not-so-simple examples: sucralose, inulin, erythritol, vegetable glycerin, fractionated palm kernel oil, maltitol syrup, BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene)
Let’s keep it simple and make it a great week together…a week where you take your health, fitness, and energy to the next level.
We Believe In You!
PS: You’re right…”quinoa” is probably a tricky one for a lot of us to pronounce (and spell), first graders included. But it’s still simple & healthy, and we know you get the point. 🙂
